Volunteers at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK

Borussia Dortmund Volunteers

Volunteers are helpers who have been supporting clubs during national and international home games in many Bundesliga stadiums since the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The volunteers at BVB are divided into several teams of different sizes and meet three hours before kick-off in the volunteer room for a match day briefing. The end of their working hours varies depending on the volunteer team. To ensure smooth operations, the volunteer management stays in contact with team leaders on home match days. Below, the team leaders and their deputies introduce their respective teams.

Following the World Cup, BVB decided in 2007 to launch its own volunteer program. Currently, around 140 volunteers work at BVB both inside and outside the stadium, serving as the first point of contact for all guests at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. They can be recognized by their bright orange clothing and the visible volunteer logo.

"We highly value the work of the volunteers. They have become a steady and integral part of the match day operations, providing numerous helpful services for our visitors at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK," explains Dr. Christian Hockenjos (Director of Organization).
