The Borussia Dortmund Torball Team

Torball, alongside Paralympic blind football and goalball, is one of the few team sports that can be played by blind and severely visually impaired people. In Germany, Torball in its current form was first played in the early 1970s. It has since become the most popular team sport for the blind and visually impaired in Western Europe, South America, and North Africa. Before joining Borussia Dortmund in January 2017, we were a small, independent club in Dortmund-Kirchderne, founded in 2005. In this and other clubs, many of our players have celebrated numerous successes. Our women's team brought success directly to Borussia Dortmund, becoming German champions in their first year in black and yellow.
