Away Trips of the Fan and Supporter Department
As the fan department, it's our priority to provide you with an easy and sociable journey to various away games of our BVB. Typically, we depart from the Westfalenstadion by coach, and unfortunately, boarding along the way is not possible.
Each trip is announced on our website and our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). During a booking phase, you can sign up via email and will be notified if you've secured a spot. You always have the option to choose between: a seat on the bus with a ticket or just a seat on the bus.
Questions about the BVB Away Trips
Which trips do you offer?
We aim to accompany all attractive away games with a bus from the fan department. However, the availability of trips depends on demand. You can find current information about planned away trips in the news section and on our social media channels.
When does the application phase start?
The application phase usually starts two to three weeks before the game, and the start will also be announced on the website and our social media channels.
Who can participate?
While members are given preference in case of many requests, generally, anyone who is interested can join.
How old do I have to be to take a bus trip?
Children and adolescents up to the age of sixteen can only take the bus trip with an accompanying person. From the age of seventeen, adolescents can participate in a bus trip with the consent of their legal guardians. With adulthood, independent travel is possible.
How will I know if I have secured a spot?
You will receive confirmation via email if you have secured a spot on the bus.
How many people can I register for the bus?
Usually, two people can be registered simultaneously. Additional information will be provided in due course.
What information do I need to provide when registering?
The following information is required for registration for an away trip: Name, first name, date of birth, mobile phone number, if applicable, BVB membership number.
When do I have to pay by?
The amount to be paid must be received in the fan department's account by a specific date, which is stated in the confirmation email. The payment deadline may be shortly before the game. Therefore, bring a bank statement/screenshot to show the payment when registering on the bus for security.
What happens if the money does not arrive on time?
If the money does not arrive on time, we reserve the right to give the places to other interested parties at short notice.
What do I need to present when boarding the bus?
When registering on the bus, you must present the booking confirmation and your ID.
How early should I be there before departure?
To ensure punctual departure, we ask all passengers to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Does the booking include meals?
No, however, it is possible to purchase beer (and other drinks?) on the bus from the bus leader. Bringing your own beer or other refreshments is also possible and recommended, especially for longer trips.
Is there a toilet on the bus?
In principle, yes, but it is only intended for emergencies. Regular breaks are scheduled.
What if I suddenly fall ill?
If a replacement could not be found independently and there is no waiting list for the away trip, the seat (and possibly the ticket) must be fully paid for.
Can I board along the way?
It is not possible to board along the way. The meeting point is exclusively in front of the stadium in Dortmund.
Where can I get off on the return journey?
For the return journey, there are two stops: the ride can be ended at both the stadium and the main train station.
Are the trips wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, due to voluntary staff, wheelchair-accessible trips cannot be provided at this time.
Where do I get the tickets?
The tickets will be distributed by the bus leader during the trip.
Do I need a passport for international games?
For international games that are not held within the EU, a passport is mandatory.
