BVB U19s to host Leipzig at Stadion Rote Erde
Following the 2-0 defeat against Unterhaching last Saturday, U19 head coach Mike Tullberg wants to take the pressure off his players prior to the start of the second half of the season against league leaders Leipzig. “We're playing with the youngest U19s in Germany, sometimes with 15-year-olds against 19-year-olds. That's why we're currently trying to convey to the boys that it's about learning a lot and taking each match individually."
The coach is expecting the opposition to play a different style compared to Unterhaching and Mainz recently: "Leipzig have a different tactical approach to our last opponents; they rely less on long balls and play more football. We're hoping for a top-level youth match." Leipzig are top of the Liga A table with 12 points from five games. BVB, who sit third in the table, have seven points and will be hoping for a win in order to increase their points tally to 10 and to close the gap to the Karlsruher SC U19s.
The match will take place at Stadion Rote Erde and entry is free of charge. If you can't make it to Dortmund, you can watch the match live via the streaming service Staige.
