BVB take stand against racism, hate and intolerance

At the Bundesliga home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund are taking a clear stance in favour of greater social cohesion and diversity, as well as against discrimination, in line with the motto 'Borussia verbindet' (Borussia connects). Since 2013, BVB have organised numerous measures, initiatives and workshops under this communicative umbrella in order to actively counter anti-Semitism, racism and other forms of discrimination in the stadium and around the club.

The corresponding message could be seen throughout the stadium on the digital LED boards as well as the corner flags. The match ball bore the inscription "TOGETHER!" too.

Borussia Dortmund are additionally supporting the league-wide special matchday organised by the DFL and the DFL Foundation, which is being implemented across all Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga stadia this weekend in line with the motto "TOGETHER! STOP HATE. BE A TEAM.". The initiative runs parallel to the International Weeks against Racism, which take place between 17 and 30 March.

The special matchday in line with the motto TOGETHER! complements German football's ongoing and diverse social commitment.
