Public training session – with the Germany internationals and Svensson

There were 500 spectators watching as Borussia Dortmund's first team commenced preparations for their home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 (30/03, 17:30 CET). Joining the training group were returning Germany internationals Nico Schlotterbeck, Karim Adeyemi and Pascal Groß plus Daniel Svensson, who took part in team training again after recovering from his injury.

Serhou Guirassy, Ramy Bensebaini and Julian Ryerson, who were still on duty with their national teams on Tuesday evening, were unavailable to BVB coach Niko Kovac on the training pitch on Wednesday afternoon. Gio Reyna, who had completed the training session on Wednesday morning, was also absent in the afternoon following his return from the USA. Felix Nmecha is still in fitness training after his recovery from injury, while the injured Cole Campbell trained individually. U23 players Jordi Paulina, Rodney Elongo-Yombo, Franz Roggow, David Lelle, Prince Aning, Patrick Göbel and goalkeeper Silas Ostrzinski stood in for the absent Borussia players.

After the approximately one-hour training session, in which the Black & Yellows played in two teams on a small pitch with four goals, the Borussia squad took an hour to sign autographs and take photos with the fans.
