Jürgen Klopp to attend farewell match
"I'm absolutely delighted – of course I have time!" said Jürgen Klopp, who was invited to the farewell match on Zoom by Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski while on holiday in Mallorca.
Jürgen Klopp, who won the Bundesliga title with BVB in 2011 and 2012, reached the Champions League final in 2013 and won the 2012 DFB-Pokal, thus securing the first and only double in the club's history, will be reunited with several of his former Black & Yellow players. In addition to sporting director Sebastian Kehl and head coach Nuri Sahin, Marcel Schmelzer, Kevin Großkreutz, Roman Weidenfeller, Patrick Owomoyela, Dede, Moritz Leitner, Florian Kringe, Mohamed Zidan, Neven Subotic and Antonio da Silva have already confirmed for the match.
It is not yet confirmed which players will be on what team – the one belonging to Kuba or the one belonging to Piszczek. But it is already set in stone that Jürgen Klopp, who ended his coaching spell with Liverpool after nine years this summer, will be on the sidelines for Jakub Blaszczykowski's team.
