Borussia Dortmund Table Tennis – Third Team

In the past season, the 3rd team finished in 7th place. After securing the vice-autumn championship with a 3-point lead over the third-placed team, the second half of the season turned into a true disaster. With the departure of Arda Yenen to Fröndenberg, along with many other personnel setbacks, the end of the season became a battle for survival. Before the final matchday, the team secured their league status. A stronger league is expected for the new season. Depending on how the season unfolds, a place in the TOP-3 is aimed for: New additions to the team include Emilo Schulz from TV Refrath and Leonid Yakimchuk from SV Union Velbert. Emilo is a highly talented player who, after a year-long injury break, hopefully can participate regularly in competitions again. With Leonid Yakimchuk and Tyson Tan Hasse, Team 3 has players primarily designated for the Regional League. Depending on the schedule, team leader Andreas Czedzak hopes to be able to rely on appearances from both players.
