BVB EVONIK Football Academy
The BVB EVONIK Football Academy offers all girls and boys aged four to 13 a comprehensive range of courses. Our training sessions are aimed at beginners through to particularly talented players. In courses with varying training content and exciting half-time activities, you will experience pure soccer! Our licensed coaching team will show you in game and learning-oriented courses what stars like Mario Götze and Marco Reus learned in their youth.
The content of our training methods is based on the sporting concept of the BVB youth department, with which we want to constantly improve the footballing performance of our participants. In addition to football-specific content such as dribbling, passing, shooting, coordination, etc., our coaches always convey the fun of this popular sport. Our varied range of courses offers the opportunity to provide all children with the best possible individual support. With a view of the most beautiful stadium in the world, SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, you can really get the soccer rolling and get a taste of the Bundesliga.
The original idea behind the concept of the soccer academy has remained unchanged since the first hour of the former soccer school: The work of the BVB EVONIK Football Academy not only focuses on the sporting success of the young footballers, but also on their overall personal development on and off the pitch.
Education partners of the EVONIK football academy
In order to continuously develop our training methods, the BVB EVONIK soccer academy has teamed up with the Ballschule Heidelberg® and Life Kinetik® as two strong educational partners.
Thanks to its unique and complex form of training, Life Kinetik® makes it possible to present the brain with new challenges for a lifetime. Life Kinetik® is therefore the interface between sporting exercise and lifelong learning. There is no comparable training of this kind.
The benefits: Life Kinetik® stimulates learning processes in the nervous system, integrates new brain cells, delays dementia, increases the ability to concentrate, performance and improves perception. Several full-time coaches from the BVB EVONIK soccer academy and the youth training center have already been trained as team coaches using this brain training method in order to support the development of young black and yellow players with Life Kinetics exercises.
The Ball School Heidelberg® was founded in 1998 by Prof. Dr. Klaus Roth from the Institute for Sport and Sports Science at the University of Heidelberg. In the Ball School's programs, children learn the ABCs of playing, the development of which goes back to many years of sports science research by Prof. Dr. Klaus Roth. The letters A, B and C each stand for three motor or tactical areas of competence. Just as the normal “ABC” provides the building material for words and sentences, the Ball School ABC provides the basis for successful action in more or less all game situations.
Our coaches
The licensed coaching team at the BVB EVONIK Football Academy can look back on many years of experience in working with children and has professional training in youth soccer. The BVB EVONIK Soccer Academy not only provides qualified coaching teams for outfield players, but also for goalkeepers. The academy uses the latest training methods and state-of-the-art training equipment. In addition to the professionally guided training sessions, we also focus on teaching children social skills on and off the pitch.

The EVONIK Football Academy training facility
The BVB EVONIK soccer academy has exclusive use of the grounds on Strobelalle as an excellent training facility. The former professional training ground was used by the 1995, 1996 and 2002 champion teams and the 1997 Champions League winners, among others, to prepare for their matches.
The site, which is located directly next to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, has been completely renovated and fully adapted and equipped to meet the needs of the soccer academy.
Three cabins, a recreation room, an artificial turf pitch and a mini pitch are available to participants and coaches. In addition, new and innovative training materials offer the children optimal conditions for the best possible development of their soccer skills.
Parents and accompanying persons can watch the training from the sidelines. Toilets and vending machines are also located on the grounds of the BVB EVONIK Soccer Academy. Parking (except on match days) is available directly at the academy, in the “Luftbad” parking lot (access under Fan Welt) or along Strobelallee.
