Post-Match Report
Reactions: "Wasted far too many chances"
Emre Can (in the mixed zone): "The first period wasn't good, too sleepy. We were always a step later than Leipzig and were lucky that the two shots that hit the bar did not go in. Second half: you don't get more chances than that here. It's crazy that we didn't score any goals. Ultimately, I know that it's about getting wins. I know where we are in the table. We're disappointed."
Pascal Groß (to BVB TV): "Poor first half, very sluggish from us. In the second period, we then played a very good game, tried to make up the deficit and simply wasted far too many chances. There were shots that were good, then it was down to the goalkeeper. There were shots where the quality was simply far too poor; they have to go in. A mixture of everything. The ball didn't want to go in, it's just extremely bitter."
Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): "The second period was really, really good. Both on a footballing level and in terms of the fighting and running. The team had Leipzig pinned back. It's crazy what we squandered in the second half. We had an unbelievable number of top-class chances. We of course should have scored a goal at some point. Then we could have turned the game around and maybe even won given the high number of goalscoring opportunities." (br)
