Mane signs professional contract with BVB

Borussia Dortmund have agreed a professional contract with 19-year-old Filippo Mane. The Italy U20 international has signed a deal until 30 June 2028, joining Kjell Wätjen, 18, and Cole Campbell, 18, as BVB's latest long-term signings.

BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl explains: "Filippo has developed really well with us over the past three years and has earned this professional contract. We want to continue on this path with him and keep supporting him, because he has the right attitude and we still see a lot of potential in him."

Mane joined the Black & Yellows from Sampdoria in January 2022. Since then, the centre-back has played 46 games for BVB's U19s (two goals) and made three appearances for the U17s. This season, Mane made his debut in senior football for Dortmund's U23s in the 3. Liga.

Filippo Mane says: "Borussia Dortmund are a great club. I feel very happy here and am delighted that I will continue to wear the shirt. My goal is to continue to improve and, after playing for the youth teams, to soon take to the pitch for the first team as well."
