BVB and ESET renew partnership until 2027

Borussia Dortmund and the European IT security manufacturer ESET have opted to continue their successful partnership. ESET will remain BVB's Champion Partner for at least three more seasons. As has been the case over the past five years, ESET will be displayed on the LED boards during BVB's Bundesliga home games.

"Digitalisation is ubiquitous in society, but also in sport. Securing these technologies is of enormous importance. In ESET, we have found a Champion Partner that is a perfect fit for us," said Carsten Cramer, the Managing Director at Borussia Dortmund., who continued: "ESET has impressed us and our fans time and time again over the past five seasons. I'm sure that we will continue to experience a lot together with ESET in the coming years as well."

"ESET and Borussia Dortmund are two strong international brands and can look back on five years of successful partnership – not least thanks to our shared values. The collaboration was intended to be for the long term right from the beginning. The extension of our sponsorship agreement with BVB makes a valuable contribution to us continuing to prominently position our brand and reach our target groups," said Pavol Balaj, who is the Chief Business Officer at ESET, adding: "We're very pleased that we will continue on this path over the next three seasons."

Borussia Dortmund have been counting on IT security solutions from ESET since 2019: ESET Mail Security secures the club's email communications, while Ransomware Shield protects the IT systems from encryption malware. ESET, meanwhile, benefits from high visibility in the German B2B landscape – for example, in the form of perimeter advertising at home game.

Starting from this season, the European IT security manufacturer intends to sharpen the focus of its commitment even more. Among other things, the manufacturer is planning campaigns within the BVB Business Network for the coming seasons.
