BVB announces strategic partnership with BG Pathum United

Borussia Dortmund announces a new partnership with football club BG Pathum United from Thailand, launching a series of youth-focused football initiatives and exchanges over the next two years. This collaboration underscores BVB’s commitment to grassroots development in Thailand, with a particular focus on fostering young football talent.

Over the next two years, BVB and BGPU will co-organize the “BG X BVB Inter-School Tournament” in Thailand, aimed at boys and girls from international schools across the country. The tournament will feature competitive matches divided into various age groups, offering young players an opportunity to showcase their skills on a prominent platform. Licensed BVB coaches will travel to Thailand to scout, coordinate, and assist in the tournament, while also leading football workshops and clinics for participants. The highlight will be the identification of the top performing players from the tournament, who will be awarded a unique training trip to Borussia Dortmund’s renowned football academy in Germany.

To further strengthen youth development, BG Pathum United will host an annual school break football camp in Thailand, open to aspiring players from across the region. This pay-in program will feature BVB youth coaches, who will lead intensive training sessions designed to elevate participants’ skills and understanding of the game.

Additionally, each year of the partnership will see BG Pathum United send one youth team to Dortmund for a football experience. This program includes training sessions, friendly matches against local teams, a BVB matchday experience, and cultural activities, giving young players from Thailand a firsthand glimpse into the world of Borussia Dortmund.

In tandem with these initiatives, BVB and BG Pathum United will bring BGSports digital content to fans, including exclusive behind-the-scenes (BTS) insights into Borussia Dortmund’s first team and more.

What did you take away from that match?<\/b><\/p>\n"That we played a good game in the situation in which we found ourselves. I think we only travelled with 11 or 12 first-players with experience. That we didn't really play a perfect game across the 120 minutes, but that we played a good one and gave little away. That's also my demand, that we now give it everything we've got once again for 90, 95 minutes and pick up these three points before signing off for the winter break. We owe that to ourselves. It would of course be very, very important in terms of the table if we picked up another three points."<\/p>\nAfter the cup tie in October, Wolfsburg drew once and then won five matches before losing 3-2 last time out. And I also have the feeling that they understood that we didn't play a good game against Hoffenheim."<\/p>\nHow do you still manage to recharge your batteries, even in difficult situations?<\/b><\/p>\n"There are several sources of energy for me. One is my family, of course the children. I try to recharge with them as much as possible. The second is health, eating well, sleeping well. And the biggest source of energy remains simple in our profession: winning. Good training sessions. That feeling when your players are available, when they're fit and when they're healthy. That is then a very, very strong source too.
