Post-Match Report

Reactions: "Five games, 12 points - that's something to be proud of"

Nuri Sahin, Gregor Kobel and Nico Schlotterbeck shared their thoughts on the 3-0 win in Zagreb. Here are the match reactions.

Nuri Sahin (to DAZN): "We've now had two really good games and remained patient today against an extremely deep-lying opponent. The boys held their positions, moved the ball well and deserved the win. The deep block wasn't a big problem, it was more the pitch. We would have had more opportunities on a good pitch. Apart from a couple of mild counter-attacks, we didn't give away anything. I'm very happy and hope that Julian Brandt's injury isn't too bad. He hopes it's nothing major. But I think it will be tight for the weekend. We can talk about the Bundesliga when the time comes. First of all, I'm happy that we've established ourselves at the top of the Champions League. Five games, 12 points - that's something to be proud of."

Gregor Kobel (to DAZN): "It was a relatively calm game for us at the back. We didn't allow many chances, were dominant with the ball, found lots of solutions up front and stood firm at the back. We controlled the game and were very calm. But they didn't press us very high either. Now we're looking forward to the game against Bayern. That will be a real battle."

Nico Schlotterbeck (to DAZN): "We had the whole game under control. We are very happy, we have twelve points from five games. That's very good. That's why we're going home with a good feeling. I was also surprised that they played so deep. They didn't even pursue us from the kick-off. The spaces were bound to open up at some point. In the end, we played things out in a controlled manner. The pitch looked very good, but it was very soggy and heavy. That's what the iron studs are for. Now we want to recover well and have a good game against Bayern on Saturday."
